Myrtle Beach is the largest city within Horry County which is located in the northeastern corner of South Carolina. Horry County is the largest county in South Carolina with Conway as its county seat. The County is divided into nine attendance areas (Aynor, Carolina Forest, Conway, Green Sea Floyds, Loris, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Socastee, St. James) with each area consisting of elementary schools, middle schools and a high school.
